Services

When people come to us

  • Your bank filed a case or you got an SMS about one, and you can't pay.
  • Airport staff mentioned a travel ban, or you worry they will.
  • A business partner cut your access to the company account or is moving money out.
  • A counterparty ignores invoices, or a cheque bounced.
  • Divorce, child custody or splitting property in the UAE.
  • A developer misses handover, a landlord wants you out, or an employer stops paying.

What we do

  1. Review. You describe the situation in the chat or a messenger. We read the documents and tell you whether you have a case.
  2. Strategy. We set the plan: which authorities and courts, the timeline, the budget. You know the cost before work starts.
  3. Handling the case. Documents, negotiations, complaints to authorities. If it goes to court, a UAE-licensed advocate takes it and we keep you updated.
  4. Enforcement. We check that the outcome holds: the ban is lifted, the money arrives, the registry entry changes.

Timelines and what drives the cost

The market has no standard rate. In our price review, a first consultation at Dubai firms costs AED 500 to 2,000. Hourly rates run AED 500–1,000 for junior lawyers and AED 1,200–3,000+ for senior partners.

Since 2022 UAE law allows success fees: legal reviews put the cap at about 25% of the amount recovered, and only under a written agreement. We quote our own fee after the review, once we can see how many stages the case has.

FAQ

Lawyer or advocate in Dubai: what's the difference?

An advocate represents clients in UAE courts. A legal consultant advises, drafts documents and negotiates but does not appear in court. Federal Decree-Law No. 34/2022 sets this split. Lucent Legal works as a consultancy, and in court a UAE-licensed advocate we work with represents you.

How much does a lawyer consultation cost in Dubai?

In our price review, a first consultation at Dubai firms costs AED 500 to 2,000. We quote our own fee after the review, before any work starts.

Is there a free lawyer consultation?

The AI assistant on our homepage is free and comes with no obligation. It helps you name the type of problem and points you to the authority or procedure that fits; it does not give legal advice. You can also describe your case in the dialog on the site, and a lawyer will come back with an assessment of your position and a plan.

Are you advocates?

Lucent Legal holds a management consultancy licence (LUCENT LEGAL MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCIES CO. L.L.C, DET No. 1192929). We run the review, strategy, documents and negotiations ourselves. In court, clients are represented by UAE-licensed advocates we work with.

Can I contact you if I'm outside the UAE?

Yes. The review runs online: website chat, WhatsApp, Telegram. A lawyer in the UAE can take many steps for you under a notarised and legalised power of attorney. We'll tell you at the review whether your case needs one.

How fast do you reply?

Within 2 hours during business hours.

Is it confidential?

Yes. Your messages, documents and case work stay with us. We make a case public only with your consent.

Do you only work in Dubai?

Our office is in Dubai, Oxford Tower, Business Bay. We also take cases in Abu Dhabi and other emirates; their courts and portals differ, and the plan accounts for that.
